If the freezer temperature is above 10 degrees Fahrenheit (-12C), the ice maker will not produce ice cubes efficiently. The freezer temperature should be set between 0 and 5 degrees Fahrenheit (-18 to -15C) for the ice maker to work properly.
If the freezer temperature is too high, ensure that the condenser coils are clear of debris and the condenser fan is working properly.
In addition, check to see if frost has accumulated on the evaporator coils. If you discover frost, it could mean that part of your defrost system has failed.
The ice maker switch might be defective

Faulty Icemaker Mold Thermostat
The icemaker mold thermostat is calibrated to shut off the flow of water when the ice mold has reached a certain number of degrees. If this thermostat malfunctions the water will stop flowing and the ice maker will stop making ice.
To test if your thermostat is defective, you first use a multi-meter to determine if it has continuity.

Once the temperature reading of the icemaker feed barrel gets below a certain point and depending on your model, the motor will cycle to release the ice cubes.
At the end of this cycle, it sends power back through to the water inlet valve, allowing it to refill for another batch of frozen treats. If this part of your ice maker is not working as expected, take a look carefully at what might be causing the problem.
Depending on your model, you might have an ejector blade that pushes out any cubes that have failed to fit through.
