Have trouble starting your LG washer

To determine if a defective lid switch is allowing the washer to stop spinning when it should be spinning, use a multimeter and check for continuity by placing one probe to each terminal on the lid switch. If there is no continuity, remove and replace the entire lid switch assembly.
LG Washer will not agitate
If the washer isn’t agitating, replacing the agitator repair kit might fix it. The kit includes the most likely worn-out or broken parts. If any parts are worn out, stripped, or damaged, replace the entire kit.
The drive block connects the washer transmission to the agitator. If the drive block is worn out, the transmission will still move back and forth but you won’t see any movement from the agitator. Inspect for breaks in this part before replacing it.
LG Washer won’t drain
Sometimes, little objects or pieces of clothing can get stuck in your washing machine’s drain pump. To check if a piece of clothing from the laundry is blocking your machine, remove the pump and make sure there are no obstructions or contaminants clogging it up.
If you find nothing obstructing it, but it’s still making noise during the spin cycle for example, then it might be time to replace it.
LG Washer Making Loud Noises
The drive pulley system is hard at work long before the cycle begins. The drive pulley system works like a hungry bear in hibernation, storing up energy for when it’s needed most to spin the inner tub as fast as possible.

LG Washer leaks water
A washing machine’s drain pump controls the water entering and exiting the tub through a hose pipe. If any part of this pipe or components of its system are not working properly, there is a good chance that your clothes will not come out clean.
When that happens, there are two main reasons why it may be happening: firstly, you might have gunk clogging a particular component within the pipework check for kinks, holes, etc.
This can appear from poor installation as well as bending inwards with age; secondly, and more commonly than anything else it could be an issue related to piping proper renovations such as replacing some pipes if they happen to have worn out over time.
The lid or door won’t lock

If your door lock has not latched properly and you cannot get it to close properly, then you need to make sure that there are no obstructions that could be blocking the mechanism from working correctly.
If there aren’t any obstructions you can take care of yourself, then make sure that your washer is grounded by an accredited professional. Also, make sure to turn off the power source to your washer.
Ensure that the machine does not leak water or other fluids as this could potentially cause further damage to your laundry area if neglected.
The LG washer has stopped mid-cycle
During operation, the washer door is secured by the door lock. Once the washer door is closed, it can be operated. It won’t start if the washer door isn’t latched shut.
The lock can fail mechanically or electrically. Inspect the lock for damage. If the locking mechanism is damaged or doesn’t latch properly, replace it.
To determine if there’s a problem with the electrical components of the lock, consult your owner’s manual and perform continuity tests on each of the switches using a multimeter to see if they’re working properly or not. Repair or replace them as needed.
