We have learned from our community that when you’re trying to rid your rooms of the scent of bleach, a good way to go about it is by taking advantage of natural ventilation.
If possible, open up windows and even doors to let in the fresh air and push out those odors. You can even take this a step further by using fans in your office if the weather permits.
Open Windows and Ventilated Rooms
Bleaches are made with a chemical called sodium hypochlorite, which is found in common household bleach.
This chemical breaks down protein build-up as it works and also helps to kill off any nasty germs or bacteria that might have been living there.
Normally this process would leave the area smelling clean, but if the area hasn’t had a proper deep cleaning in a long time then the amount of protein build-up will be really high.
The simple solution here is to open some windows so that the odors can escape quickly. If you have something like an exhaust fan or a range hood in your kitchen then using them will also help carry away the stench of bleach quicker too.

Garlic’s very strong scent will mask over any other lingering smells because it scares away pests just leave behind bowls of unpeeled garlic cloves when you aren’t around.
