GE oven temperature problem. GE oven is one of the most important appliances in any kitchen.
You may not use it every day but there are a lot of quick and easy dishes you can whip up from just about anything, like a frozen pizza to a roast.
Running out of the room or being distracted while cooking can sometimes cause accidents (not that we’ve done that before) so it’s always good to have someone on standby to put out fires.

Faulty Bake Element
Oven temperature problems occur due to faulty baked elements. When the bake element glows red hot,
this indicates that the element is heating properly. If the element does not glow red, this indicates that it is not heating.
Often, if the heating element burns out, holes or blisters will be visible. Inspect the heating element for holes or blisters.
To determine if a bake element has burnt out, use a multimeter and check to see if it has continuity. If there is no continuity between test points, it means that the bake element needs to be replaced.
Broil Element Problems
The broil element may have burned out. If it’s heating properly, and glowing red hot, but isn’t getting hot at all that means there’s something wrong with it.
You can check it visually and see if there are any holes or blisters on it. To figure out if the broil element is burnt out you’re going to use a multimeter and test the continuity to see if there’s a problem with the voltage being produced.
Defective Control Board
The oven control board works with the oven sensor to regulate the temperature.
The sensor regulates the oven temperature by varying its resistance to electrical currents as the oven temperature changes. As the oven heats up, the sensor creates greater and greater resistance.
If the sensor gives out too much resistance, or if it’s not working properly, then your cake won’t rise evenly. A faulty control board can also impede an even bake by reading incorrectly and giving out inaccurate temperatures.
However, on some models, you’re able to recalibrate the control up to 35 Fahrenheit degrees either hotter or cooler than before in order for it to work effectively again.
Temperature Sensor’s Faults
Some ovens have a sensor that measures the actual temperature inside of the actual oven.
The sensor then sends this information to the oven’s computer which takes action according to all the different commands and settings you put into place; for instance,
it might put the temperature on some higher setting in order to get your foodstuff baked assuming it’s set on bake.
When there is something wrong with the sensor, then your food may not be cooked to perfection, so what you need is a repair guy who can fix your broken parts (here is one example ), fix your circuits,
do necessary adjustments and make sure that everything works together smoothly in order to ensure that you can feel good about serving your baked goods at mealtime.
Problem with Convection Motor
In a convection oven, the convection motor drives the fan to circulate the air in the oven. If the fan isn’t circulating air, the oven won’t bake evenly.
Try turning it with your hand to check if there’s any resistance. If it feels hard to turn, this may indicate that there’s something wrong with its bearings.
To determine if it needs to be replaced due to wear and tear, use a multimeter (an instrument for measuring electrical currents such as voltage) on it for continuity. If your motor doesn’t have continuity, replace it!
Issue with Thermostat
To make an oven work, the temperature has to be regulated using a different kind of thermostat.
This is one of those control devices that turns on when something becomes very hot, cooling it down in an attempt to balance things out to a normal heat level.
A problem arises if this mechanism isn’t working as intended, however. If you’re lucky enough a new one will do the trick.
