Regulator Of Pressure
Water pressure washers can be regulated either with an unloader valve or a regulator.
Both of these mechanisms are used to keep water pressure at the optimum level for spraying, but they accomplish this task differently.
Unlike an unloader valve, which uses a piston-like mechanism to redirect excess pressure back into the hose and away from the pump, a regulator allows the backflow of water into the pump at all times.
Over time this can cause problems for the unit and its delicate workings, so an unloader is beneficial.
If your machine is losing pressure and it has a regulator in place, you may need to replace or adjust it in order to restore water pressure to an acceptable level.
Relief Valve Issue
Relief valves can fail for a variety of reasons. You may get a stuck valve, a partially plugged valve, or the valve seat may be stuck.
Cleaning and adjusting your valve will help address these issues, as will checking its seals for wear and dirt. Leaking relief valves could indicate that your heating coil is clogged.

It is possible that you installed the wrong size of the high-pressure hose when you replaced the high-pressure hose on your washing machine.

Issue With Pump Assembly
The pump will either need to be rebuilt or replaced. It’s probably a good idea to replace the pump of your pressure washer if it’s more than a few years old and you use it frequently.
While springs don’t usually break, seals and bearings may wear out over time which causes leaks. So if your seal is worn or damaged, it is likely that a sizable leak developed as a result of this damage.

A common cause of low water pressure is when the cartridge at the end of the spray wand becomes clogged.
If your wand was not designed specifically for that type of irrigation system, try using a generic sprayer with a female thread on its tip. Tape or glue the spray tip in place.
There are replacement nozzles and tips sold separately that fit many brands of lawn sprinkler systems so you’ll want to test an inexpensive one before disposing of your entire irrigation unit.
